SYNOPSIS:
On the journey home to Manila, four people discover they are on different paths: two are trolls paid to defend the Philippine government’s brutal war on drugs, while the other two sit on the opposite side as critics of the bloody campaign. On the road and online, they confront each other’s positions; only one side leads to truth.
Synopsis:
In a time of lies and deception, a ride back to Manila turns out to be a journey through dividing views. Do we really want to know the truth or are we simply taken along for the ride? The narrative of “Crossroads” will take us to where we will question our direction as the preservers of Truth; despite the intrusion of technology to influence what we think, decide, and believe.
The progress of the journey rests on their discovery of each persona, much like looking at the concrete paths of their pasts. As circumstances strip the layers of their characters while using their social media accounts, we learn their positions when it comes to responsibly embracing the truth, or willingly drowning in the lies of the social media world.
